MELISSA ORR
President and CEO
Melissa Orr is an industry pioneer, leader, and visionary in the development of outsourced sales teams.

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University, Emporia, KS, Melissa created outstanding results in the marketing department at Hewlett Packard. She continued her success at executive positions with Symantec, Network Associates, Central Point, Ignite, SofNet and Calera Recognition Systems.

While at SofNet, Melissa became aware of a need for effective field support, prompting her to create a field sales and marketing team consisting of high-quality outsourced personnel. This successful program provided a powerful marketing tool, which Melissa continued to implement at subsequent companies. Melissa established Campaigners in 1997, with a vision of creating a company motivated by a culture to perform that could successfully drive results for customers. Under Melissa’s leadership, Campaigners has launched hundreds of field event and “street team” projects for a diverse set of accomplished clients.

Melissa is particularly active in the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO) peer participant forum and internship programs. She is a recent graduate of the prestigious “Birthing of Giants” program, sponsored by YEO. She is a participant in the MIT Enterprise Forum, and described by Inc Magazine as one of “the best and the brightest growth-minded young entrepreneurs.” Additionally, Melissa was named a Finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for 2002 and 2003, and nominated for the 2002 Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Women Who Make a Difference” Award.
