MELISSA ORR |
| President and CEO |
Melissa Orr is a visionary leader and a pioneer in the development of outsourced sales and marketing teams.
Early in her career at Hewlett-Packard, Melissa became aware of a need for effective field marketing support to activate brands at retail. When she joined Sofnet, this awareness prompted her to create a highly successful field sales and marketing team consisting of high-quality outsourced personnel. This program proved to be a powerful marketing tool which Melissa continued to implement at subsequent companies such as Central Point Software, Symantec and Network Associates.
From there, Melissa established Campaigners in 1997, with the vision of creating a performance driven company that would set new standards in collaboration and responsiveness, while delivering exceptional results for clients. Under Melissa's leadership, Campaigners has launched thousands of successful field marketing programs and "street teams" for a diverse set of blue chip clients.
In January 2007, Advantage Sales & Marketing (ASM) purchased Campaigners, retaining Melissa as President. As a key player in the ASM network of companies, and with Melissa's leadership, Campaigners is now poised for significant additional growth across a variety of industry sectors.
Melissa is active in the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) peer participant forum and she was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Greater LA area in 2004, going on to become a National Finalist in the same competition. Under her leadership, Campaigners has been named to the Inc. 500 list of the fastest growing privately held companies in America; the Promo 100 list for the last four years consecutively and the Los Angeles Business Journal's list of the 100 fastest growing companies in Los Angeles County two years running.
Melissa grew up in Kansas City, KS and received her Bachelor's degree from Emporia State University, Emporia, KS. She now resides in Manhattan Beach, CA, with her husband and two young sons.
